Scriptures – 3 Nov., 2024

CSB: “As they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, ‘Take and eat it; this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks, he gave it to them and said, ‘Drink from it, all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. But I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.’ After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.”

Bibelen 2024: “Mens de spiste, tok Jesus brødet, velsignet det, brøt det, gav det til disiplene og sa: ‘Ta det og spis; dette er mitt legeme.’ Så tok han en kalk, takket, gav den til dem og sa: ‘Drikk av den, alle sammen. For dette er mitt blod, paktens blod, som utøses for mange til syndenes forlatelse. Jeg sier dere: Fra nå av skal jeg ikke drikke av denne vintreets frukt før den dagen jeg drikker den ny med dere i min Fars rike.’ Etter å ha sunget salmen, gikk de ut til Oljeberget.”

CSB: “The Lord God caused to grow out of the ground every tree pleasing in appearance and good for food, including the tree of life in the middle of the garden, as well as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”

Bibelen 2024: “Herren Gud lot alle slags trær vokse opp av jorden, herlige å se på og gode å spise av, og livets tre midt i hagen, og treet til kunnskap om godt og ondt.”

CSB: “A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.”

Bibelen 2024: “Tyven kommer bare for å stjele, drepe og ødelegge. Jeg er kommet for at de skal ha liv og ha overflod.”

CSB: “He answered, ‘It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'”

Bibelen 2024: “Men Jesus svarte: ‘Det står skrevet: Mennesket lever ikke av brød alene, men av hvert ord som kommer fra Guds munn.'”

CSB: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.”

Bibelen 2024: “De holdt seg trofast til apostlenes lære og fellesskapet, til brødsbrytelsen og bønnene.”

CSB: “And he took bread, gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them, and said, ‘This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way he also took the cup after supper and said, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.'”

Bibelen 2024: “Så tok han et brød, takket og brøt det, gav dem og sa: ‘Dette er mitt legeme, som gis for dere. Gjør dette til minne om meg.’ På samme måte tok han kalken etter måltidet og sa: ‘Denne kalken er den nye pakt i mitt blod, som utøses for dere.'”

CSB: “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!'”

Bibelen 2024: “Dagen etter ser Johannes Jesus komme mot seg og sier: ‘Se, Guds Lam, som tar bort verdens synd!'”

CSB: “Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for all of us share that one bread.”

Bibelen 2024: “Fordi det er ett brød, er vi alle ett legeme, vi som er mange; for alle har vi del i det ene brød.”

CSB: “But I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

Bibelen 2024: “Jeg sier dere: Fra nå av skal jeg ikke drikke av denne vintreets frukt før den dagen jeg drikker den ny med dere i min Fars rike.”

CSB: “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.”

Bibelen 2024: “Enten dere altså spiser eller drikker eller gjør noe annet, gjør alt til Guds ære.”
