CSB: “When they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage at the Mount of Olives, Jesus then sent two disciples, telling them, ‘Go into the village ahead of you. At once you will find a donkey tied there with her colt. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them at once.’ This took place so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled: Tell Daughter Zion, ‘See, your King is coming to you, gentle and mounted on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’ The disciples went and did just as Jesus directed them. They brought the donkey and the colt; then they laid their clothes on them, and he sat on them. A very large crowd spread their clothes on the road; others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road. Then the crowds who went ahead of him and those who followed shouted: ‘Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!’ When he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was in an uproar, saying, ‘Who is this?’ The crowds were saying, ‘This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.’”

Bibelen 2024: “Da de nærmet seg Jerusalem og kom til Betfage ved Oljeberget, sendte Jesus to disipler av sted og sa til dem: ‘Gå inn i landsbyen som ligger foran dere. Der skal dere straks finne en eselhoppe som står bundet og har en fole hos seg. Løs dem og led dem til meg! Om noen sier noe til dere, skal dere svare: Herren har bruk for dem. Da skal han straks sende dem.’ Dette skjedde for at det skulle bli oppfylt, det som er talt gjennom profeten: Si til Sions datter: Se, din konge kommer til deg, ydmyk og ridende på et esel, på trekkdyrets fole. Disiplene gikk av sted og gjorde som Jesus hadde sagt. De hentet eselhoppen og føllet og la kappene sine på dem, og han satte seg opp. Mange i folkemengden bredte kappene sine ut på veien, andre skar grener av trærne og strødde dem på veien. Mengden som gikk foran, og de som fulgte etter, ropte: ‘Hosianna, Davids sønn! Velsignet er han som kommer i Herrens navn! Hosianna i det høyeste!’ Da han drog inn i Jerusalem, ble det uro i hele byen, og folk spurte: ‘Hvem er dette?’ Og mengden svarte: ‘Dette er profeten Jesus fra Nasaret i Galilea.’”

CSB: “Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your King is coming to you… ”

Bibelen 2024: “Rop høyt av glede, Sions datter! Bryt ut i jubel, Jerusalems datter! Se, din konge kommer til deg…”

CSB: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever… ”

CSB: “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory…”

CSB: “Is the law therefore contrary to God’s promises? Absolutely not!…”

CSB: “Better to be lowly with the humble than to divide plunder with the proud.”

Bibelen 2024: “Det er bedre å være ydmyk sammen med de hjelpeløse enn å dele bytte med de stolte.”

CSB: “The result of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.”

Bibelen 2024: “Rettferd skal føre til fred, rettferdens frukt skal være ro og trygghet til evig tid.”

CSB: “What the law could not do since it was weakened by the flesh, God did…”

Bibelen 2024: “Det som var umulig for loven… det gjorde Gud: Han sendte sin egen Sønn…”

CSB: “But he was pierced because of our rebellion… we are healed by his wounds.”

Bibelen 2024: “Men han ble såret for våre lovbrudd… ved hans sår ble vi helbredet.”

CSB: “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God…”

Bibelen 2024: “Da vi altså er blitt rettferdige ved tro, har vi fred med Gud…”

CSB: “Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ…”

Bibelen 2024: “Alt dette er fra Gud, han som ved Kristus forsonte oss med seg selv…”

CSB: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.”

Bibelen 2024: “Salige er de som skaper fred, for de skal kalles Guds barn.”

CSB: “You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others…”

Bibelen 2024: “Dere er verdens lys… Slik skal deres lys skinne for menneskene…”

CSB: “Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse… Faithful and True…”

Bibelen 2024: “Og jeg så himmelen åpen. Se, en hvit hest! Han som satt på den, heter Trofast og Sannferdig…”
